Short Notice | Meagan + Daxton

Last Sunday morning, my friend Kevin called me at 8:45a wanting to know if I could help him out. He informed me that he had a wedding to photograph later that day and he was unable to make it. After my panic-attack, I told him I would cover the event. The wedding was to be held at Swan Harbor Farm in Havre de Grace, and the girls were arriving at noon. Needless to say, I had to scramble to get all my gear ready and get there on time.
Unfortunately the weather did not cooperate (cold and windy), and the ceremony which was supposed to be held outside had to move into the tent.

I flew down to Florida to photograph the wedding of my sister Joy and my new brother-in-law Rich. A small ceremony and reception was held at the Bok Tower in Lake Wales, followed by an open house later in the evening at the couple’s new home.

Nick and Lori were married on December 12, 2008 at the Washington DC temple, and then had their ring ceremony and reception up in Newark, Delaware afterwards.

A photobooth was set up in the back of the reception hall, and was great fun for all.

First Bridal Shoot

Today I was on location in Germantown, MD to photograph my first Bridal Shoot. The morning started out in front of the Black Rock Center for the Arts building. With the temperatures in the upper 30’s, not much time was spent outdoors. We quickly ran across the street to continue the shoot inside the Germantown library.
The fine folks at the library allowed us to setup and shoot in the beautiful rotunda area that they have.
Emily, the bride, was married back in May but never had a bridal session, so she was excited to put back on the wedding dress and have a couple hours of once again being the center of attention.
Many of the library patrons would come over and watch with much interest. So, if you ever want to not be noticed, don’t put on a wedding dress.
