Short Notice | Meagan + Daxton

Last Sunday morning, my friend Kevin called me at 8:45a wanting to know if I could help him out. He informed me that he had a wedding to photograph later that day and he was unable to make it. After my panic-attack, I told him I would cover the event. The wedding was to be held at Swan Harbor Farm in Havre de Grace, and the girls were arriving at noon. Needless to say, I had to scramble to get all my gear ready and get there on time.

Unfortunately the weather did not cooperate (cold and windy), and the ceremony which was supposed to be held outside had to move into the tent.

Wow, Dave. You nailed it! Maybe the next wedding I have back East, I’ll call you the morning of and tell you I need a second shooter! Hahaha. That way you’ll be panicked and shoot like this!

I love the portrait on the couch and the last frame. They’re my favorites of the pack.

Still can’t understand why the panic. I’m on autopilot editing the take. You’re making this easy on me.
I, however, was in the panic mode watching the clock tick and being unable to leave my situation to do the shoot. Oustanding!

You did a great job – there are some fantastic shots here. I can’t imagine the panic of trying to get everything ready so quickly! I love the B&W dance floor shot.

Wow Dave, these shots are amazing. The one of all the girls sitting together is great, very fun. Lucky couple that you were available to cover their wedding.

Wow, I saw it looked great, and then I went back and read that you did it at a moment’s notice! You did a beautiful job. Pity it couldn’t be outside, since it looks beautiful, but you got some great indoor stuff.

What a marvelous thing to do and you absolutely rocked this! One would never know you picked this one up and ran with it (and proceeded to hit it completely out of the park)! Wonderful wonderful job!
